Folsom Stake Blood Drive
The Stake Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, August 25th from 2:30-6:15pm at the Scholar Way building. Click HERE to schedule an appointment or call Vitalant at 877-258-4825.
*Appointments are encouraged and walk-ins will be accommodated if space allows.
To prepare for your donation:
- For eligibility questions call Vitalant at 800-289-4923 or go to Eligibility information
- The donation process takes about one hour, and the actual blood donation takes about 5-7 minutes.
- Donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and there is no upper age limit.
- Please bring a photo I.D., eat a hearty meal and drink plenty of water prior to donating.
Twin Lakes Food Drive
Each year the TLFB helps over 35,000 guests, 88% of which live here in Folsom, with food items and supplies. We are asked to distribute shopping bags to homes in our ward boundaries 2-3 weeks prior to the Day of Service and then collect the food on the Day of Service.
Bag Drop Off: Bags will be available on August 24-25 and will need to be distributed by Sept 7. Mark Bahouth has divided up our zone into 13 routes in Signup Genius. Each route consists of 150-170 homes. Two people can cover a route in about 90 min. All that is required is to drop a bag off at each doorstep.
Sign Up: Please CLICK HERE to sign up for a route near your neighborhood. The youth will be helping to cover most of Natoma Station for one of their youth night activities, but there are other parts of our ward that also need to be covered. Volunteers will also receive a T-shirt, if requested, and are invited to attend the Community Service Day Kick off on Sept 19th at 8:00 AM at Lakeside Church.
